Question: After update to windows 8.1 beats audio is not working.
Solution 1:
At the moment there are no drivers available for this to work correctly as Windows 8.1 was just released. I recommend checking back in the next few days to see if there has been an update yet.

Solution 2:
Download the file below and install , Restart and give your beats a try again. If you cant find Beats go to (Control Panel) and search (Beats Audio) then right click on it and create a shortcut, you should now have a shortcut to Beats Audio on your (Desktop)...
